Our binchotan charcoal or white charcoal is made from selected pelawan wood or tristaniopsis merguensis from Central Kalimantan. A traditional charcoal made by slowly firing the wood at extremely high heat over several days until it’s carbonized. It’s harder than black charcoal and sound like metallic when struck.
Specification: – Raw material : pelawan hardwood – Size: S (10-12cm) M (15-20cm), L (25-27cm) – Ash content: around 1.5% – Total moisture: 4.4% – Fixed carbon: around 80% – Volatile matter: 13.7% – Gross calorific value: around 7,500 kcal/kg – Duration of burning: around 3 hours.
